Captain Ali's Farm

I'm welcoming the month of July with a photo vomit of our second visit in Captain Ali's Farm last June 15. Yeah, I know it's kinda late. Forgive me. I'm just too lazy, I admit. So no need for more words, hope you'll enjoy the photos as we did.

Oh July please be good to each and everyone of us. God Bless Us all. (^_^)

Lolo's Girl

I woke up today missing my LOLO so much. I haven't tell about him here, right?! I recently dreamt about him but I almost forgot the story. He died six long years ago due to a heart attack. It still hurts me like hell everytime I remember it. Let me tell it straight, I'm a Lolo's girl ever since. And now that I'm eaten up by homesickness once again, how I wish he's with me.

Let me introduce him, my super duper loved Lolo. He's not the typical strict-you-must-behave kind of grandfather. He's cool in a way he will support you on the things that makes you happy. He likes to tease people, call them names that makes you laugh. He woke up early in the morning around 4am everyday, make a coffee, clean his garden and do some catching up with his neighbors later on. He treat his Tatlong Maria ( me and my 2 siblings) to Jollibee whenever he received his monthly pension. It's his hobby to watch news in the morning and before he sleep, basketball or boxing. He's a retired elementary teacher. He loves to talk about his work and his granchildrens.

I was in third year college that time when I received the bad news. I was in school when I received a text message that he was found dead in our restroom by my Uncle . I remember my denial as I read it. Oh no, not now, not him. I immediately go for a ride, I just want to see him, I want to make sure. I remember me crying in the bus, feeling so helpless. When I reach the house, he's there lying on his own bed, unconscious. I remember hugging him and crying out loud. Hoping he'll hug me back, punch me in the arms as he always do but I can already feel his coldness. His hands and chest are already becoming bluish. I remember asking the people around us what had happened to my Lolo but everybody was just watching me. Everyone was shocked and sad and crying. I remember sitting on his side, rubbing his arms and hands all night because the people who'll take good care of him will come the following day. I was talking to him in silent about why he suddenly left us all alone. If he's okay, if he's in severe pain, if how long he stayed in the restroom alone, if where is he at that very moment. I had a lot of questions to him but I was left unanswered. That was the worst moment of my life. Seeing the one I love the most gone with just a blink of an eye. After nine days, being the eldest grandchild,  they asked me to have a talk during his funeral. I readily refused. Not because I don't want to but because I know I will just end up crying instead of  telling how much I love my him . They insisted so I gave in. My speech was very short because as expected I just cried. I said it hurts me a lot that you just said goodbye like that. I hurts me that I'm a nurse but I wasn't there when you needed me the most. It hurts that I take the vital signs of other people but I didn't have the chance to just take yours. It hurts that you were alone those times. Then tears. Screams. Tears.

And today, I just want to tell him a lot of things. I know he's up there listening or reading this. This is for you.

" Lo, you know how much I missed you. I tell you every night before I go to sleep. I missed everything. I miss your visits in the our house bringing a lots of Mangga. I miss making you coffee. I miss doing your pedicure, putting nail polish and you don't care because your we insited. I miss your treat to Jollibee or restaurant though you just have enough money. I miss staying in your house during weekends. You always tell us that we always ransack your food stocks but I can see in your eyes that you're happy whenever we're there. I can see your smile whenever you hear our loud laughters. You'll buy softdrinks or Halo-Halo because that's our favorite. You'll asked us to clean the floor using your improvised floorwax made of candles and gave us Milo to eat afterwards. I miss leaning on your shoulders on your terrace. Though people outside where staring, we both don't care. I remember when you were fighting with your childrens ( including my Nanay ) because of some family problems and I know that if I have to choose I will still be on your side. I remember watching basketball and boxing with you. I miss you calling me " Bariles" because I eat a lot. You always tells me I'm getting fat but you always buy the food I love. You'll always cook breakfast though we always end up waking up almost lunchtime. I miss combing your white hair, punching your big stomach and playing with your fatty arms. You'll fight back just to play with us. All those memories are in here, part of what I have become, you have a big space in my heart..forever.

Thank you for giving my Nanay. For loving me and my siblings the most. For all those proud talks about us. For being there on our graduations, recognitions and almost all specials occasions. You we're my strength at those times. You thought me to be good and jolly and friendly.

I'm sorry if I wasn't there during your lonely nights alone. For not being there when you undergo cataract extraction. For not being there on your meals alone. For not being there, at that very moment when it hurts a lot. You don't know how much it kills me right now. If only I can turn back the time. I'll be there for you. no matter what it takes.

I know you'll get angry if I'll be sad all over again. You're completely happy there with Him, free from any pain and sadness.  And I'm utterly fine with it. You'll be our guardian angel. I know you're always looking after us. And though you left us physically, your love and memories will forever remain. We love you so much Lolo. We miss you a lot. "

--From your favorite Apo--

Sorry I don't have any photos of us right now. Here's the only one I've got.

My Lolo and Lola during their wedding.

That's all guys. I miss writing, it's been ages. Thank you for reading. Send my regards to all your Lolo's and Lola's out there. You're very lucky they're still with you. Tell them how much you love them.

God Bless Everyone. (^_^)

Currently ...

Listening : Cold Summer Nights by Francis M. But what I'm up to is Elmo's version (his son). I know this is an old song and I'm always late when it comes of appraciation. So sorry about it. I almost memorize the whole song and that's quite an accomplishment. I'm very poor with lyrics. Aaw!

Eating : Ate bread and egg with Milk Tea for dinner. I missed eating rice though it's just one meal I skipped. Haha. I'm not used to it.

Drinking : Lemon Juice made by my dear friend for my sore throat.

Wearing : A big gray sando with a peace sign on it and a pajama. So much ready to hit the sack.

Feeling : Happy from various inspiration that I had today. A late in the morning wake up call, a cup of tea with lemon for breakfast, a break from all clinic work because my doctor didn't came, exchange smiles from a long-term crush, a charming stare from someone and an I LOVE YOU from my MU.

Weather: It's getting hotter in the kingdom since it's summer already. I hate it. I like it when it's cold.

Wanting: To go somewhere far alone. Wander freely. Walk for miles. Took a lot of pictures. And how can I forget about it, I want RAIN. So bad.

Needing: A hug. Period.

Thinking: I'm wondering if I'm contented with where I'm at right now. Parents have other plans for me and I'm not considering it at the moment. My bad, I know it's for my own good but I still need some push. Push me. Chos!

Enjoying: The mere fact that I can sleep late at night and can woke up late at the same time. Guilty pleasure.

I saw this from the net and I just wanted to do my own list. It's fun. Try it yourself. I miss writing. I miss everything.

God Bless everyone. Be safe and healthy. Pretty please.

Nostalgia

HELLO guys. I almost forgot about this blog. Really. So when I saw that my last post was a month ago, I wasn't that surprised. I suddenly became so lazy with everything.

Work had been so demanding lately. We transfered to our new clinic and I had to do the renovation thing and at the same time helping my doctor with all the patients. My  legs are complaining so hard. I can't even eat in between duty .Poor me. And though my mind is telling me to grab some rest rather than writing again, still I have this urge to cry my heart out tonight. Please bear with me.

Holy Week had passed so quickly here in the Kingdom. Though I tried to have some peace of mind, which is very important in this season, I failed. So many things happened and I just felt my world kept on spinning so fast I lost track on it. Aaw!
  •  Nothing's permanent in this world. One day you're very happy and comfortable with where you are but then you'll wake up and realized you're tired in it. I worked there for  almost a year and it ended already. Though I wanted to get out in the first place, sometimes I still caught myself wondering what am I doing if I stayed. I miss the work that I used to do. I miss those patient whom turned out to be a friend eventually. But mostly, with all honestly,  I miss those two people whom I spent half of my stay in the kingdom. My MU, whom I think is my other half because we're are literally together 24/7 and my doctora whom I consider as my second mother. Though we have some issues, still I wish that someday I could talk to her and say my sorry. I hate that we ended up like this. But the right time is not now...someday. And maybe, I would like to think, that it's better this way.
  • During these times that homesickness attacks me a lot. Back home, we used to join Holy masses and some of the church services during Holy week. We used to bond at home like no other since it has no school. We used to stayed in our house and enjoyed the mere fact that we're together. We barely went out of town since first we can't afford those expensive trips and second we grew up as a house bum. I don't know how to explain but my mother taught us to love staying at home rather than going outside. Anyway, last week my favorite Tito went to our place from Samar . Take a look at it. I so wanted to go home upon seeing it.

  • Two of my friends here are now in the Philippines for vacation. They'll be gone for two months and the'll leave the house half-empty. When they do the packing of their luggages, I want to dive in so I can go also. I'm envious that finally they will see our beloved country and hug their loved ones. Gosh, I'll exchange everything just to have those same moments. But unfortunately, I still have to wait for months. Lend me some Patience, pretty Please. Haha. Anyway, I'm happy for the both of them. I'll surely miss them and I'll wait for their pasalubong. I love you both. Hope they'll enjoy every bit of it. Oh la la!
  • A guy friend told me that I don't need a boyfriend since the love that I have and receiving from my family is totally overwhelming. I accepted it as a compliment. It's been a year since that unforgetable  downfall but I can actually say that I'm okay now. Good in a way that I'm used to it already. The pain go away and I felt I'm a better person now. Yes, I still do remember those good memories but the feelings are now gone.  Life has a lot to offer and I just enjoy it. It is not what happens to you but how you react on it that matters. It's all about how to handle situations. I still do believe in love and I still pray that someone right will come along eventually. But if he isn't the right one, better I stay this way. I'd rather wait in vain for someone who worth it than get hurt again. Boo! Haha!
  • I suddenlyy miss my BEST friends. I wonder what might they're doing right at this moment. How I wish I can punch them. I'm not kiddin'. Now that we are in our own worlds, separated by thousand miles away, it was sometimes getting harder to keep in touch. I know that even though we don't get to see each other anymore, it wouldn't change a thing between us. But the emptiness inside me sometimes wins everytime I remember them. It sucks that because we're now a "grown-up- mature-adult person", we can't procastinate as long as we want like before. We suddenly need to work in order to live.  Missing those simple days when everythings was just so plain and laid-back.

  • Lastly, I want to share ramdom photos with you.
I'm now on the Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries. If only I can finish it with one sitting but unfortunately I can't.

I tried Sauna for the first time with my dear MU. Nice experience though.

Maybe 3 week ago, we attended a Graduation Day. I felt nostalgic about it. It will always give you that mixed emotions.

Havin so much fun making my hair a little bit curly. That's a new thing for me.

So that's it. I need to go now and give myself a rest. I owe it to her since she's a little bit tired and sleep-deprived lately. Though I do sound complaining but  with all honesty, I'm not. I love my work and I'm very thankful for the opportunity it gaves me. As they said, life begins at the end of your comfort zone. So step up.

God Bless everyone. Take care and send lots of love to your loved ones. Thank you for droppin by. Mwih! (^_^)

Solidarity

It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them.”
